 Hello
and welcome to the Kettering Borough Crime
Initiative Web site.
The KBCI
is a crime reduction partnership between Retailers, Local
Authority including CCTV, Town Centre Partnerships and the
Police.
The KBCI
aims to deter and prevent known offenders from committing
retail crime around the Town Centre by banning them from entering
member's stores. This is done by serving an EXCLUSION NOTICE
on the offender.
Benefits
of the scheme:
- To
exclude prolific offenders from member's stores
- Protect
staff from violence/abuse
- Reduce
crime, and the fear of crime, for the benefit of both staff
and customers
- Encourage
investment by creating and promoting a safer working environment
- Improve
the general environment of the town, leading to increased
employment and improved prosperity in the area
- Kettering offenders and travelling offenders (photos) updated every
3 months
